About the Role
The Undergraduate Recruitment Specialist and Dual Enrollment Coordinator provides advising to prospective students and serves as SF State’s Dual Enrollment Coordinator. This role represents SF State at recruitment events, coordinates dual enrollment efforts with local school districts, and tracks prospective dual enrollment students to promote early exposure, access, and transition to SFSU.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct pre-admissions assistance and follow-up for students interested in CSU/SF State University.
- Conduct workshops, presentations, and individual and group pre-admissions advising sessions, both on and off campus.
- Perform preliminary transcript evaluations.
- Conduct school visitations and attend college fairs, transfer days, and CSU Counselor Conferences.
- Plan and implement yield activities.
- Provide training and updates for Community Colleges, K-12, Community Based Organizations, and SF State stakeholders.
- Support daily outreach work including phone duty, counter duty, presentations, and student advising.
- Represent the Office of Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment at selected campus, community, and statewide CSU events, outreach activities, counselor meetings/conferences, and other special events.
- Participate in department and campus committees, programs, and projects as assigned.
- Maintain knowledge of admissions practices for special populations, programs, and services.
- Coordinate the development, implementation, and assessment of campus events, services, and activities related to Dual Enrollment.
- Review dual enrollment records and verify student eligibility and likelihood of future enrollment.
- Maintain contact and foster relationships with prospective students, applicants, counselors, and parents regarding dual enrollment.
- Provide admission information and pre-admission counseling to prospective students and applicants via phone, email, and in person.
- Follow up with dual enrollment students to ensure program requirements are followed.
- Regularly visit dual enrollment courses to connect with prospective students and provide pertinent information for matriculation.
- Coordinate with the UGAR Welcome Center on visit and tour opportunities.
- Maintain a database of contact information for dual enrollment partners.
- Prepare semesterly reports documenting trends and opportunities in dual enrollment participation.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of on and off campus special events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of the practices, procedures, and activities of the program to which assigned.

- Ability to interpret and apply program rules and regulations.
- Ability to use initiative and resourcefulness in planning work assignments and implementing long-range program improvements.

- Ability to reason logically.
- Ability to collect, compile, analyze, and evaluate data and make verbal or written presentations.
- Ability to advise students individually and in groups on routine matters.
- Ability to recognize multicultural, multisexed, and multi-aged value systems and work accordingly.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, CSU administrators, student organizations, private and public agencies, and others.
- Ability to rapidly acquire a general knowledge of the overall operation, functions, and programs of the campus.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions and carry through actions with implications for other program or service areas.
- Equivalent of two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field.
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License with no more than three moving violations within the last three years.
- Must complete SF State’s Defensive Driver’s Training program.
- Must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship or authorization to work in the United States within three business days from their date of hire.

- $65,304.00 to $66,000.00 annually
