About the Role
The Sales Associate is responsible for generating sales by providing customers with an exceptional shopping experience, maximizing sales through efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable service, and maintaining store presentation. The role involves embodying company values and customer-first behaviors to create a positive environment.
Responsibilities
- Consistently demonstrate AEO Customer First selling standards to achieve sales goals.
- Drive brand loyalty by educating customers on loyalty programs.
- Utilize company tools and technology to provide product knowledge and enhance customer engagement.
- Support fellow employees through knowledge sharing and task assistance.
- Outfit customers by suggesting key looks and incorporating trends and promotions.
- Promote brand awareness by introducing customers to additional brand channels.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Restock returned merchandise and properly handle damaged or defective items.
- Maintain company brand standards for sales floor, cash wrap, fitting room, and stockroom.
- Execute merchandise handling, including shipment processing, floorsets, and replenishment.
- Resolve customer concerns in accordance with company policy and partner with leadership on escalated issues.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to receive feedback and take action.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform all Essential Job Functions.
