About the Role
Support the Head of Global KYC Compliance in driving oversight procedures and enhancing program effectiveness. Leverage expertise in financial crime and compliance investigations to guide KYC Operations, lead process improvements, and maintain global policies. Collaborate across regions, build strong stakeholder relationships, and solve complex problems related to KYC requirements.
Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor to the Head of Global KYC, supporting the design and implementation of the Global KYC Oversight and Management Procedure.
- Support Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region from a Global KYC standpoint.
- Collaborate with local Compliance teams as they adapt global KYC policies to comply with local requirements.
- Apply expertise in Compliance, financial crime typologies, and investigative best-practices to help guide and oversee cases handled by KYC Operations.
- Contribute to the drafting, review, and ongoing maintenance of Global KYC policies, procedures, desk references, and related documentation.
- Lead the development and execution of process enhancements that improve compliance effectiveness, operational efficiency, and program scalability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across global regions to ensure consistent alignment and execution of the Global KYC Program.
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with regional and global stakeholders, facilitating clear and consistent communication with senior leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of AML/CTF/KYC Compliance experience within regulated financial services, payments, fintech, banking, or money services businesses.
- Experience interacting with regulatory authorities and supporting regulatory examinations is required.
- Experience navigating complex systems and cross-functional environments, translating research and stakeholder feedback into clear Compliance insights and actionable requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively present findings, recommendations, and outcomes to both internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities, leveraging analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Visio is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Proven experience leading and empowering high-performing Compliance teams, driving results and fostering engagement within fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
