About the Role
ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project. The Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Transmission Project will build new high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and supporting infrastructure to transfer power generated by solar and wind projects to electricity consumers. The new infrastructure is expected to be operational by 2028 and will initially unlock up to 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of cost reporting and budget monitoring for staff and indirect costs.
- Keep project cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting accurate.
- Track cost to date, forecast to complete, earned value, and risks and opportunities across staff and indirect costs.
- Review forecast assumptions and contingency allowances, spotting trends early and flagging emerging issues.
- Prepare internal cost transfers and monthly accruals.
- Present monthly cost performance to internal management with clear and accurate reporting.
- Explain budget variances and drive actions that mitigate risk and capture opportunities.
- Support management decisions by accurately reflecting financial reporting.
- Collaborate with budget owners, challenge assumptions, and set stretch targets to improve financial outcomes.
- Support the Finance department and the wider project team in meeting reporting deadlines.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in a related discipline (or equivalent skills and knowledge) with a solid grounding in the fundamentals of the role.
- Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and influence across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to deliver to predetermined timeframes.
