About the Role
We are seeking a next-generation leader to join our Product Technology department, which oversees mass production technology. This department collaborates with Renesas' design and development teams, our own factories, and partner manufacturers to achieve mass production of new products and improve the quality, cost, and production efficiency of existing products, ensuring stable production. We are looking for individuals with a global perspective to contribute to the mass production management and improvement of Renesas products.
Responsibilities
- Handle technical challenges in executing production plans, including bottleneck countermeasures, porting, and outsourcing.
- Manage the mass production of new products, ensuring a smooth transition from development to stable mass production.
- Secure and maximize profits through yield improvement, productivity enhancement activities, and other cost reduction efforts.
- Ensure and improve quality by optimizing quality standards and pursuing zero defects.
- Respond to mass production issues, including equipment failures, customer complaints, and material vendor troubles.
- Promote various projects, such as the reorganization of domestic back-end process sites and the transfer of legacy products to OSAT.
- Potentially take on management responsibilities based on experience.
Requirements
- Experience in the manufacturing industry (engineering, electronics, science fields are a plus).
- Over 3 years of experience in inter-departmental coordination, including external stakeholder coordination.
- Experience in project management.
- Management experience.
- Basic proficiency in Office tools (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Intermediate or higher English proficiency (able to communicate in meetings and via email).
- Native level Japanese proficiency.
Skills
- Project leadership experience.
- Semiconductor-related work experience.
- Programming skills such as Excel VBA.
- Experience with BI tools like Power BI.
