About the Role
We are hiring our founding team builder to assemble the most talent-dense team in the world. This is a hunter role focused on finding, meeting, and building genuine relationships with exceptionally talented people and convincing them to join our mission. You will work directly with our CEO and engineering leaders.
Responsibilities
- Build and curate a list of hundreds, eventually thousands, of the very best engineers.
- Provide a red carpet experience for candidates, including in-person meetings and events.
- Stay close to candidates as their careers evolve to identify the right moment to bring them in.
- Convince exceptionally talented people to bet their career on the company and its mission.
- Automate tactical work with AI, focusing on the creative aspects of relationship building.
Requirements
- Must be a hunter who draws energy from people and enjoys conversations with brilliant engineers.
- Must be an unusually sharp judge of talent, able to identify exceptional individuals quickly.
- Must prioritize creativity over process, inventing new ways to reach people.
- Must be able to sell the mission with total conviction.
- Must demonstrate relentlessness in maintaining relationships, even after initial rejections.
- Must exhibit extreme ownership over the company's most important outcome.
- Must align with the mission and desire to build a future of abundance.
- No recruiting background required; evidence of finding and attracting exceptional people is valued more than recruiting titles.
