About the Role

Our Technology team is the backbone of our company, constantly creating, testing, learning and iterating to better meet the needs of our customers. If you thrive in a fast-paced, ideas-led environment, you’re in the right place. This role is critical in defining the product roadmap and developing innovative solutions. You will design and develop back-end systems and REST APIs that serve hundreds of millions of searches daily, collecting and parsing data across thousands of partners to find the best deals for our customers.

Responsibilities

Participate in critical projects with direct impact on the evolution of Priceline's business.
Be part of a cross-functional agile team that continuously experiments, iterates and delivers on new product objectives.
Showcase Core Java programming skills.
Contribute to full-stack initiatives by building dynamic, user-facing features using React/JavaScript and integrating them with GraphQL APIs.
Apply programming skills towards building low latency and high throughput transactional services with continuous integration and automation testing.
Implement SQL composition skills for collecting and querying data for investigation and analysis in real time from applications.
Utilize knowledge to understand codebase, systems and business requirements to effectively make changes to applications.
Effectively collaborate and engage in team efforts, speak up for best solutions, and converse respectfully and compromise when necessary.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in software engineering and development.
Coding experience with Core Java programming.
Comfort and experience with Spring Frameworks, Web Services and APIs.
Front-end development experience with JavaScript and React, along with a solid understanding of GraphQL for efficient data querying.
Experience leveraging AI coding tools to accelerate workflows (Claude or Cursor preferred).
Thorough SQL compositions skills for composing queries and analysis.
An Influencer of the use of Git and Gitflow.
Experience in Microservices, Kubernetes, Dockers is a big positive.
Experience with developing on Cloud, especially GCP and AWS.
Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.
