About the Role
We’re looking for a Geospatial Support & Operations Manager to help build our Houston support operation. You’ll be a go-to resource for customers, helping them get started with our systems, understand the right workflows, troubleshoot day-to-day issues, and use our technology confidently in the field. This role combines geospatial product knowledge, customer training and support, and day-to-day operational ownership. Alongside supporting customers remotely and on-site, you’ll coordinate equipment readiness, inventory, shipments, returns, and replacements. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping customers adopt technical products and taking ownership of a local operation as it grows.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day customer support, helping customers resolve questions and issues related to system setup, positioning, software workflows, and equipment use.
- Deliver customer training and onboarding, training operators and customer teams remotely and at job sites.
- Apply geospatial knowledge in the field to help customers understand how our technology fits into their surveying, positioning, and construction-layout workflows.
- Coordinate advanced support and equipment replacements by gathering information, documenting troubleshooting steps, and escalating problems.
- Run the local support operation, maintaining equipment and inventory records, and tracking available and returned units.
- Maintain equipment readiness and quality through standard setup, functionality, and readiness checks.
- Improve support processes and documentation by maintaining support records and developing troubleshooting guides and training materials.
- Partner across the business with Sales, Customer Success, Operations, and Engineering to support customer handoffs and share feedback.
Requirements
- Relevant experience with geospatial technology, surveying, GNSS/GPS positioning, construction layout, machine control, or closely related technical products.
- Experience providing customer-facing technical support, product training, applications support, or equipment onboarding.
- Ability to troubleshoot systematically and communicate clear findings.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to customers with different levels of experience.
- Excellent organization and follow-through to manage support requests, equipment readiness, inventory, and daily operational priorities.
- A practical, service-oriented approach, comfortable working independently and taking ownership.
- Willingness to work on-site in Houston and travel to customer locations for training and support.
- A valid driver’s license.
