About the Role
The Nihongo Tanken Centre is a Japanese language and culture immersion centre seeking officers to manage operations and programs, including promotional strategies, excursion organisation, record keeping, program evaluation, student workshops, teacher professional learning, stakeholder relationships, and site management. Officers will also design and deliver curriculum support for Japanese K–12.
Responsibilities
- Manage operations and programs of the Nihongo Tanken Centre.
- Develop and implement promotional strategies.
- Organise and deliver excursions.
- Maintain high-level record keeping.
- Evaluate and improve programs.
- Conduct student workshops.
- Facilitate teacher professional learning.
- Manage stakeholder relationships.
- Oversee site management.
- Design and deliver curriculum support for Japanese K–12, aligned to syllabus outcomes.
- Undertake classroom teaching and lesson preparation as required.
Requirements
- Address the selection criteria in relation to the Statement of Duties.
- Submit applications online only.
- Provide a Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number.
- Complete a National Criminal Record Check.
- For current NSW public school based employees or employees who hold right of return to a NSW public school, confirm discussion with direct supervisor/principal regarding release for the required period.
