About the Role
As a PBX Operator, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing prompt and courteous service, answering calls within three rings, and anticipating guest needs. You will also maintain knowledge of events and promotions, master emergency procedures, and accurately log information.
Responsibilities
- Answers calls within 3 rings or less.
- Provides prompt and courteous service when answering guest calls.
- Makes transfers to the appropriate departments for further servicing while following departmental procedures.
- Uses approved greeting.
- Anticipates guest needs.
- Offers to contact valet for car retrieval or to arrange other transportation, when appropriate.
- Maintains a working knowledge of upcoming events and promotions and advises guests correctly.
- Promptly and accurately logs all information.
- Performs other office duties as determined by the supervisor and/or manager, including typing and filing.
- Provides a warm and sincere greeting using guest’s name when a personal wake-up call is requested.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Prior computer experience required.
- Ability to type 30 wpm.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Strong organizational and grammatical skills.
