About the Role
As a Production Supervisor, you will be the leader of your shift, responsible for maximizing productivity and efficiency while minimizing costs, maintaining excellent quality standards, employee safety, and sanitation levels. You will act as a problem solver driving Continuous Improvement efforts across the plant.
Responsibilities
- Direct supervision of hourly production employees to maximize their potential and meet current and future objectives
- Manage the processing or packaging schedule to maximize output while minimizing costs, including active participation in problem solving
- Lead and coach integrated work groups to achieve results based on the factory’s continuous improvement plan
- Confer with engineering and maintenance in coordination of repairs and modifications to demonstrate ownership of assigned areas
- Ensure products are produced in compliance with quality key checkpoints and within Good Manufacturing Practices
- Provide a safe working environment for employees
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, production, military, or related environment
- 1+ years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, military, or related environment
