About the Role

As a Senior Vice President, Relationship Manager, you will build and grow complex international client relationships by spotting opportunities, shaping solutions, and delivering high-quality service within Global Network Banking. The role involves origination, deal structuring, strategic pitches, and collaboration across HSBC to meet client needs, applying corporate lending and risk assessment capabilities to support sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationship strategies that anticipate client needs and position HSBC strongly.
  • Act as a first point of contact for daily credit-related enquiries while building relationships through client engagement.
  • Prepare, structure, and present proposals and presentations for clients and prospects.
  • Undertake financial, credit, and profitability analysis and produce account remarks and documentation.
  • Partner with Group colleagues to deliver needs-based solutions across products and services.
  • Provide ongoing risk monitoring across Global Standards and Anti-Money Laundering & Sanctions alerts and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Identify and execute cross-sell opportunities while staying close to economic, cultural, and regulatory factors impacting international business.
  • Monitor portfolio performance against risk profile and take timely corrective action to mitigate losses and improve profitability.
  • Maintain internal control standards including fraud protection, credit monitoring, and approval of team Know Your Customer (KYC) requests.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in frontline corporate banking roles covering complex international client relationships across sales and credit or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to coordinate complex RFPs and global pitches with clear ownership from shaping content through to delivery.
  • Strong credit analysis skills with deep knowledge of corporate banking products and solutions.
  • Ability to deliver origination, deal structuring, and high-quality client proposals and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and partner effectively with senior stakeholders across a global environment.
  • Ability to manage portfolio risk through customer due diligence and KYC, including high-risk KYC cases.
  • Proven record of building and supporting high-performing sales teams with a proven record of delivering outcomes.
  • Hold FINRA Series 79, 63 and SIE or bring equivalent demonstrable licensing experience with ability to obtain within required timelines.
