About the Role

The Medical Advisor - Pipeline & Hematology is primarily responsible for scientific knowledge management and strategic medical/scientific advice regarding our upcoming broad oncology pipeline with a focus on hematological malignancies. Working with Medical Scientific Liaisons and commercial counterparts, the Medical Advisor will provide expert strategic input and execute on key tactics to support the objectives of our pipeline and hematological malignancy initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the Oncology Medical Affairs Plan.
• Collaborating with Medical & Scientific Liaisons, identifies medical and scientific gaps, and strategically prioritizes tactics to fulfill Scientific Leader needs.
• Accountable for the development, prioritization and delivery of strategic and tactical plans that addresses identified gaps.
• Work in partnership with Global Medical Affairs teams and Regional Director of Medical Affairs to advocate for support of Canadian initiatives at the regional/global level.
• Interactions with Global Clinical Trials Organization and Research and Development Laboratories Organization in support of R&D-Phase II-III trials, Local Clinical Evaluations and Investigator-Initiated Studies and to continue to attract clinical development studies to Canada.
• Support to the Oncology Business Unit and Market Access Group to ensure successful management of existing products and launches of new products.
• Participate as a member of the brands cross-functional teams, providing scientific expertise at meetings and ensuring scientific credibility and high ethical standards throughout all activities.

Requirements

• Diplôme de Pharm. D., de M.D. ou de Ph. D.
• 2 à 3 ans d’expérience à titre de liaison scientifique médicale; une expérience comme conseiller médical est souhaitée.
• Connaissance de l’industrie pharmaceutique et du processus de développement des médicaments.
• Connaissance clinique approfondie en oncologie, ainsi qu’une excellente compréhension du développement clinique stratégique et des principes de conception des études des cancers hématologiques.
• Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale et écrite.
• Solides aptitudes pour les présentations et de réunions.
• Sens poussé de l’éthique et de l’intégrité.
• Connaissance approfondie des bonnes pratiques cliniques et du Code canadien de Médicament Novateurs Canada.
• Capacité à travailler au sein d’une équipe de haut niveau et dans une structure organisationnelle matricielle.
• Esprit d’équipe hors pair permettant de travailler très bien en équipe dans une structure interfonctionnelle.
• Capacité à interagir avec succès avec une variété de personnes à l’échelle locale, régionale et mondiale, notamment avec les chercheurs cliniques locaux, les organismes de recherche sous contrat, les administrateurs des payeurs, les représentants des organismes de réglementation et les représentants de divers organismes de défense des droits des patients portant un intérêt à nos produits et aux résultats des études cliniques.
• La maîtrise du français est requise.
