About the Role

Bubble is seeking a Director of Amazon to lead a key growth channel, taking full ownership of the P&L, strategic vision, and daily performance. This role involves directing an external agency, defining long-term growth strategies, and building the necessary operating structure. The ideal candidate can balance high-level strategy with detailed execution across listings, creative, advertising, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of the Amazon P&L, focusing on revenue, margin, and profitable, sustainable growth.
  • Develop and manage the multi-year vision and roadmap for Amazon at Bubble, including the required structure and capabilities.
  • Create and manage the Amazon calendar for launches, promotions, deals, and seasonal events, aligning with the broader commercial calendar.
  • Direct the external Amazon agency relationship, setting strategy, prioritizing work, and ensuring accountability to KPIs.
  • Act as the internal expert on Amazon, collaborating with commercial, brand, creative, finance, and operations teams to align channel strategy with business goals.
  • Optimize Amazon SEO, search algorithm understanding, and listing performance to drive discoverability and conversion.
  • Oversee content strategy for the catalog, including A+ content, brand store, enhanced content, and new listing launches.
  • Manage listing and account health issues, including Buy Box, suppressions, and compliance.
  • Define creative strategy for Amazon detail pages and storefronts, and provide input into paid media creative.
  • Oversee the Amazon advertising strategy across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP, directing agency or internal resources.
  • Design and execute structured test-and-learn programs for listings, creative, and campaigns, and develop repeatable playbooks.
  • Monitor and adjust advertising investment to maximize ROI and achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Analyze Amazon metrics (CVR, Buy Box, RoAS, ACoS, TACoS, ASP, NTB) and build custom analyses.
  • Collaborate with demand planning and operations to ensure accurate forecasting, healthy in-stock rates, and efficient FBA inventory management.
  • Balance inventory investment against sell-through and profitability, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot operational issues affecting account health or the P&L.
  • Analyze customer reviews, ratings, and feedback to inform product, content, and CX improvements.
  • Implement strategies to protect and enhance the review and ratings profile.
  • Deliver executive-level reports on channel performance, providing strategic recommendations.
  • Represent Amazon in leadership forecasting and commercial reviews, connecting performance to broader business objectives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Amazon account management/eCommerce.
  • Experience in beauty, CPG, or a similarly fast-moving, competitive category is ideal.
  • Proven track record of owning a P&L and driving profitable, sustainable growth.
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of Amazon SEO, listing optimization, and Amazon advertising (Sponsored Products/Brands/Display; DSP is a plus).
  • Working knowledge of FBA inventory management and demand forecasting.
  • Experience directing an agency or freelance partner.
  • Sharp analytical instincts and comfort working with data.
  • Understanding of creative performance specific to Amazon.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
  • Bias toward action, comfortable with both strategy setting and hands-on execution.
