About the Role
This is a critical role within BAM UK & Ireland, focused on winning work within the health and healthcare infrastructure sector. The Sector Client Director - Healthcare will lead the application of BAM’s relationship-based sales model, positioning BAM early in the asset lifecycle and identifying opportunities for sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the application of BAM’s relationship based sales model with key health clients.
- Position BAM early in the asset lifecycle, leading on selectivity and prioritisation.
- Identify opportunities for sustainable growth.
- Sell BAM through targeted, sector specific value propositions to improve win rates.
- Position BAM as a trusted advisor to health clients.
- Ensure key accounts have access to the full breadth of BAM capabilities.
- Coordinate C suite and executive alignment across NHS Trust Boards, NHS England, and private healthcare providers.
- Develop a deep understanding of healthcare capital investment programmes, clinical requirements, regulatory constraints, funding models and patient centred outcomes.
- Identify how BAM UK & Ireland capabilities can support improved healthcare environments and long term value.
- Ensure a single, coherent view of key health accounts is maintained.
- Work closely with client marketing, bid, technical and delivery teams to ensure value propositions are relevant, differentiated and aligned to sector priorities.
- Develop clear market insights across the health sector.
- Assess opportunities for BAM.
- Communicate technical and delivery solutions at all levels of the client organisation.
- Proactively identify emerging opportunities with key health sector accounts.
- Feed early insights into bid and governance processes.
- Lead the consistent application of BAM’s relationship‑based sales model across health accounts.
- Support BAM’s client‑centric growth strategy.
- Position BAM early in health capital investment programmes, estates strategies and long‑term development plans.
- Maximise cross‑selling opportunities across BAM capabilities.
- Explore new market opportunities such as diagnostics centres, community healthcare facilities, mental health estates, digital and data‑enabled healthcare environments.
- Ensure visibility and understanding of key health accounts across BAM sectors at divisional and group level.
Requirements
- Proven experience in client facing and/or work winning roles within the built environment, healthcare infrastructure or related sectors.
- Experience leading people and managing organisational change.
- Experience developing and executing business strategies in complex, regulated environments such as the health or public sector.
- Strong collaboration and team leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop strategic plans and drive engagement.
- Experience of New Engineering Contracts (NEC).
- Awareness of sustainability and environmental priorities relevant to health estates.
- Proficiency in Dynamics 365 CRM.
