About the Role
Network Right is seeking its first dedicated People Operations hire to manage HR, employee experience, and daily operations. This role involves updating the People Ops function and shaping workplace culture during a period of rapid growth.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring seamless transitions and a strong initial impression of the company culture.
- Act as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding HR topics, benefits, and policies, providing high-touch support and self-service resources.
- Manage the background check process from start to finish, addressing any flags and ensuring new hire records are current.
- Oversee I-9 and E-Verify workflows for all new hires, adhering to federal compliance requirements and timelines.
- Serve as the day-to-day liaison with the PEO to ensure workflows align with labor regulations.
- Lead the evaluation of the current payroll and HR platform, recommending renewal or migration.
- Create, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate People Operations workflows.
- Collaborate with co-founders and department leaders to support employee lifecycle events and maintain data accuracy.
- Champion company culture and employee experience through intentional touchpoints.
- Maintain office operations at the San Francisco HQ, including supply management, vendor coordination, and workspace readiness.
- Support the candidate experience during onsite interviews.
- Assist with planning and executing company events and offsites.
Requirements
- 3+ years in People Ops, HR coordination, or a related role, preferably at a tech startup with 30-100 employees.
- Proven experience managing onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Familiarity with working within a PEO model and optimizing its functions.
- Hands-on experience with background checks, I-9, and E-Verify workflows.
- Experience supporting and coordinating performance management cycles with leadership.
- Comfortable using ticketing systems for employee requests and workflow tracking.
- Proficient in Google Suite and skilled in creating clear internal process documentation.
- Experience utilizing AI tools for communication, documentation, and workflow enhancement.
- High degree of discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive employee information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience building HR processes and documentation from scratch is a plus.
- Familiarity with HR platforms and a capacity for quick learning.
- Exposure to office management, workplace coordination, or event planning is a plus.
- Genuine interest in advancing a career in People Operations within a scaling team.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
