About the Role

Ode is Anthropic's services venture, focused on bringing frontier AI into practice by tackling complex AI problems for companies. The team works closely with clients' Applied AI and Product teams to transform cutting-edge technology into tangible real-world impact.

Responsibilities

  • Translate ambiguous business problems into crisp problem statements, user journeys, and success metrics.
  • Work with customers to define what "success" actually means.
  • Engage in early, messy conversations to help tease out real pain, sketch solution approaches, and spot expansion opportunities.
  • Translate ambiguous needs into clear requirements, PRDs, and plans for engineers.
  • Shape workflows, edge cases, and evaluation criteria for AI-powered systems.
  • Act as the customer's day-to-day strategic partner and primary point-of-contact, building trust and being candid about tradeoffs.
  • Run the day-to-day rhythm including planning, check-ins, risk tracking, and coordinating between clients, engineers, designers, and Ode teammates.
  • Work with client teams on rollout, enablement, and change management to ensure systems are used.
  • Bring back insights that inform Ode's playbooks and product direction.
  • Provide judgment and clarity when requirements are fuzzy or customers change course.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in product and consulting/client management or product implementations, operations, or support.
  • Experience building and shipping products with engineers and designers across multiple cycles.
  • Experience leading client-facing, high-stakes projects where stakeholders weren't aligned and the path wasn't obvious.
  • Comfortable pushing back, reframing the problem, and holding the line on quality.
  • Ability to ask good questions, structure chaos, and turn ambiguity into a plan.
  • Ability to move from whiteboarding with execs to writing a crisp doc for engineers.
  • Clear and direct communication skills.
  • Roll up your sleeves and make things happen, whether that's writing a scrappy SQL query, creating a prototype, drafting a support playbook, or jumping into a last-minute exec demo.
  • Comfort with high-energy environments, messy problems, and "we haven't done this before" projects.
  • Ability to juggle multiple clients, keep priorities straight, and make good calls with incomplete information.
  • Take initiative to learn how to do things you don't know.
  • Strong reasoning skills.
  • Willingness to overuse AI in your own workflow.
  • Lift others up and actively share best practices and seek to learn from others.
  • Care about winning together.
