About the Role
We're hiring our first Head of Product to own product strategy and execution across Obin's platform. This is a builder's role where you'll be deeply hands-on, partnering with engineering to ship AI-driven workflows, working with SMEs to translate expertise into product logic, and engaging customers to ensure adoption in production, regulated environments. As we grow, you'll build and lead the product organization.
Responsibilities
- Own product strategy and roadmap, connecting strategy to company-level growth.
- Engage deeply with customers to understand workflows, pain points, and desired outcomes.
- Partner with Engineering on technical trade-offs for AI-native products.
- Translate domain SME expertise into product logic and solutions.
- Operationalize strategy into shippable increments and manage the build-measure-learn loop.
- Build and lead the product function, including hiring and coaching product managers.
- Operate as a business leader, understanding unit economics and representing product to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years in product management, with 3+ years directly managing PMs.
- Proven track record of owning and shipping adopted, renewed, and expanded products.
- Deep domain fluency in private equity/asset-management operations, insurance claims, or private credit/fund administration.
- Genuine technical fluency, comfortable driving AI/ML product trade-offs and partnering with engineering.
- Proven ability to build and communicate strategy that changes company direction.
- 0-to-1 or 1-to-n product-building experience at a startup or new business line.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and a small team environment.
- Direct customer-facing experience with enterprise/institutional buyers.
- Hands-on, player-coach orientation, willing to write specs and run discovery calls.
