About the Role

We are seeking an experienced program and community builder to own the employee experience at Hex. This role will redesign New Hire Onboarding to ensure new hires feel productive, connected, and enthusiastic within their first two weeks. The position will also shape key company moments such as all-hands meetings, company kickoffs, team offsites, and office environments, focusing on deepening employees' connection to the company's mission, product, customers, and each other.

Responsibilities

  • Redesign and host the onboarding experience to ensure new hires feel productive, connected, and thrilled within two weeks.
  • Design the pre-boarding and post-onboarding phases to create a memorable employee experience.
  • Build micro-communities for each cohort to foster a sense of belonging and lasting connections.
  • Define and measure the success of onboarding initiatives to continuously improve the experience.
  • Support all-hands and company moments as storytelling opportunities, not just logistical events.
  • Reset social and operating norms for internal communications to reduce overwhelm and improve clarity.
  • Own the planning and execution of the company kickoff (CKO) end-to-end.
  • Partner with the revenue team to support logistics and experiences for QBRs.
  • Develop a self-serve portal for team leads to standardize offsite planning with activity ideas, templates, budgets, and logistics.
  • Project manage the New York office buildout, ensuring physical spaces enhance the employee experience.
  • Set the standard for the in-office experience and manage office coordinators.
  • Drive in-office engagement through programming, food, and amenities, measured and iterated based on team feedback.

Requirements

  • Must be a storyteller and host with strong narrative and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of out-of-distribution thinking and designing memorable experiences.
  • Experience running events, onboarding, workplace, or internal communications and turning them into repeatable programs.
  • Instinctively partners with AI and automation for repeatable tasks to focus on high-craft, human moments.
  • High agency and comfortable with ambiguity; able to set direction and build without a roadmap.
  • Maintains a high standard for all work and employee experiences.
