About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist a school-aged boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The role involves providing support during after-school hours, facilitating community outings, and ensuring his safety and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Escort the client from the school bus daily.
- Provide service in both the home and community settings.
- Engage the client in activities such as park visits, dining out, movies, swimming, and visiting Get Air.
- Supervise and engage the client while he watches videos on his tablet.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have effective communication and organizational skills.
- Must be flexible with assignments and schedule.
- Must have reliable transportation to arrive at the job site on time.
- Experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities is preferred.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for community use.
- Must abide by Indera's technology policy.
