About the Role
Join the AWS EC2 Edge Frontier family of services and help revolutionize hybrid-edge cloud computing by building hybrid-edge cloud services used in demanding industries and challenging use cases.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
- Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
- Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
- Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
- Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
- Contribute to improving the operational excellence posture of Nitro platforms for EC2 Frontier products.
- Drive the implementation of standardized, metrics-driven processes to minimize the occurrence of defects through release testing and deployments.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
