About the Role
Serve as a senior legal partner for THE·TEAM’s Corporate Talent Representation business in EMEA & APAC, offering advice on commercial, corporate, employment, and compliance matters. This role involves advising senior stakeholders, managing complex agreements, acquisitions, governance, disputes, and compliance issues.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and employment agreements, including senior agent employment and consultancy agreements, service agreements, introducer agreements, partnership agreements, and NDAs.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to draft and negotiate complex bonus and commission structures.
- Advise People, Finance teams, and business stakeholders on sensitive issues, providing strategic guidance and instructing external legal counsel when necessary.
- Assist with acquisitions and strategic transactions, including drafting and negotiating acqui-hire agreements, bid letters, and letters of intent, reviewing due diligence, and managing external counsel.
- Advise on regional compliance requirements such as anti-bribery, AML, data protection, and international sanctions.
- Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of talent representation, endorsement, and appearance agreements for Golf and Action Sports divisions.
- Manage disputes, litigation oversight, and debt recovery matters.
- Update legal templates.
- Collaborate with US/Global legal colleagues and instruct external specialist lawyers worldwide.
Requirements
- 5+ years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE).
- In-house experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent technical legal knowledge and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to handle a range of commercial, corporate, employment, and compliance matters, including data protection.
- Experience in a significant role in M&A and other strategic transactions.
- Excellent commercial judgment, communication, responsiveness, and confidence in advising senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to prioritize a diverse workload and deliver high-quality advice under tight deadlines.
- Sound ability to work across multiple jurisdictions.
- Collaborative and team-oriented.
- Self-starter capable of independent work, with self-awareness and receptiveness to feedback.
