About the Role

Valiant Residential is seeking a Leasing Consultant responsible for leasing, retention, and occupancy duties, while promoting resident satisfaction and fostering a positive customer service experience for visitors, prospects, and residents.

Responsibilities

  • Greet prospects and qualify them based on established criteria.
  • Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
  • Record all telephone and in-person visits and maintain guest cards.
  • Inspect model and available units, communicating service needs.
  • Process applications, including securing deposits and conducting background checks.
  • Update availability reports and submit applications for approval.
  • Assist in monitoring lease renewals and distributing renewal notices.
  • Monitor advertising effectiveness and gather market competition information.
  • Professionally represent the company.
  • Accept rental payments and submit them promptly.
  • Accurately input lease and resident information into the Yardi System.
  • Assist the management team with various tasks as needed.
  • Consistently implement community policies.
  • Diffuse and respond to customer concerns to prevent escalation.

Requirements

  • Experience working with the public and/or in sales.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Fair Housing Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to support and contribute to the community team.
  • Proficiency in operating a telephone, personal computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), and community software.
  • Positive attitude and ability to maintain professionalism under all circumstances.
  • Willingness to participate in training to comply with new or existing laws.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Two years of previous relevant customer service experience.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
  • Comply with expectations outlined in the employee handbook.
