About the Role
The Project Manager will provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, manage the project portfolio, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects and capabilities. This role will champion Agile adoption and foster a safe environment for team members.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and development to implementation and closure.
- Create project and work plans.
- Coordinate and supervise team activities to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, presentations, and technical insights.
- Collaborate with vendors, teams, and product managers to understand the impact of changes on capacity and timeline.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and tracking of project timelines and milestones.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Refine backlog(s) to identify and resolve gaps in requirements, resources, or infrastructure prior to sprint start.
- Ensure all requirements, project plans, and changes are communicated to affected stakeholders.
- Measure and monitor progress, taking corrective actions as needed to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Proactively remove blocking issues within and external to teams.
- Provide oversight and implement control processes for project scope, schedule, and budget management.
- Coordinate and ensure completion of all deliverables from various teams to accompany go-live dates and releases.
- Organize and lead project status meetings and scrum ceremonies.
- Champion the adoption of Agile across the organization, providing coaching and training.
- Maintain a high standard of professional conduct and leadership.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex technical projects in an environment with multi-function teams.
- Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level projects.
- Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 team members.
- Balanced business/technical background with sufficient technical knowledge for credible leadership.
- Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers.
- Ability to establish/maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
- Proven ability to lead software implementation/integration/development projects and ensure objectives are met.
- Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools: Agile Project Management tools such as Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps, VersionOne or equivalent, Microsoft Project, Visio, and other MS Office Tools.
