About the Role
Merge is seeking a Senior Manager, GTM Systems to architect and build the revenue organization's infrastructure, including Salesforce and its integrations. This role involves designing and implementing systems for CPQ, deal desk, usage-based billing, and AI agents, with a focus on building durable, reliable solutions in a fast-paced AI and developer ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture of Merge's GTM systems (Salesforce object model, automation, permissions, data quality, sandbox and release governance) and be accountable for their reliability.
- Architect and ship net-new builds: CPQ and deal desk, quote-to-cash with Finance, and usage-based billing across product lines.
- Build durable systems with validation, monitoring, and test coverage.
- Own change management end to end, including project plans, enablement, legal and security intake, and documentation.
- Own the GTM systems roadmap on a quarterly and annual horizon, aligning with GTM strategy.
- Utilize AI as the default method for designing, building, and auditing systems, and ship production AI agents and automations.
- Own the GTM vendor stack: evaluation, procurement, implementation, and renewal negotiation.
- Develop documentation, permissioning, and tooling to enable the RevOps team to operate independently.
Requirements
- 5-8+ years in RevOps, business systems, or GTM engineering.
- 3+ years owning a Salesforce instance as its architect.
- Experience running end-to-end change management on critical revenue systems (CRM, CPQ, billing, CS platform), including migration, enablement, and cutover without business interruption.
- Hands-on quote-to-cash experience: CPQ evaluation or implementation, approval and rate-table design, and billing system integration with usage data.
- Proficiency in building and solving with AI tools like Claude Code and agentic tooling.
- Experience shipping AI agents and automations that run in production.
- Ability to read, reason about, and verify AI-written code.
- A bias toward durable automation with validation, monitoring, and tests.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills, including backward planning and proactive communication of risks.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, taking half-formed asks, and driving them to completion without constant management.
