About the Role
The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator will establish, execute, and deliver facility-specific EHS plans to support PepsiCo's overall EHS objectives. This position contributes to Frito Lay by enabling EHS risk management, including risk identification, evaluation, control, regulatory compliance, incident investigation, and post-incident management within the manufacturing and warehousing industry. The role involves acting as an EHS subject matter expert, developing and supporting prevention programs, aiding in the implementation of the Supply Chain EHS Annual Operating Plan, and supporting the regional EHS agenda. The EHS Coordinator is responsible for anticipating EHS issues, ensuring risk management processes are applied, coaching site teams, analyzing accident data, and developing actionable solutions, with a primary focus on employee advocacy and protection through a prevention strategy.
Responsibilities
- Implement, execute, and ensure compliance with PepsiCo’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies, procedures, and tasks.
- Support execution of the site’s annual EHS Plan.
- Work with site Management to support implementation of EHS programs.
- Identify and evaluate hazards (risks) and implement effective controls (corrective solutions).
- Support and lead incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans.
- Facilitate and support the completion of a site-wide annual EHS training plan.
- Lead and support site EHS Committees.
- Support/Conduct both internal and external audits.
- Manage and utilize EHS systems such as Ventiv, myEHS, Power Bi, Schoox, etc.
- Conduct and assist in GEHSMS program reviews with EHS program owners/teams.
- Manage 3rd party vendors.
- Management of EHS Records.
- Conduct on the floor EHS inspections and observations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- 1+ year of experience in Environmental, EHS, or food manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and FDA regulations.
- Experience supporting environmental compliance, programs, or improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with site leadership and frontline associates.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and computer-based systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily deadlines.
