About the Role

Acera Insurance is seeking a Client Advisor, Commercial Insurance whose knowledge and experience in commercial insurance, attention to detail, and customer service focus are key to success. Join our award-winning network of over 1,300 professionals across Canada.

Responsibilities

Compile renewal information, negotiate renewal terms, and prepare all other aspects of renewals.
Compare quote options for multiple carriers and present coverage comparison.
Ensure renewals are completed 60 days in advance.
Review policies to identify coverage gaps and make recommendations based on clients’ operations, exposures, and needs.
Produce pink cards, certificates of insurance, schedules, and claims reporting.
Maintain appropriate and clear documentation in agency management systems, including policy details, activities, attachments, and spreadsheets.
Assist in negotiating renewal terms and developing growth.
Clearly understand how actions can positively or negatively affect relationships with customers, carriers, and coworkers.
Participate in ongoing scheduled meetings with the team to discuss accounts, renewals, and day-to-day service needs and opportunities.
Participate in seminars, classes, and webinars for skill and knowledge development.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

2+ years of related and progressive experience in the insurance industry with a strong working knowledge of commercial insurance products.
Experience in an insurance brokerage.
RIBO license required.
CIP or CAIB designation, or working towards, is considered an asset.
Experience with insurance document management software is an asset.
