About the Role
The Integration Engineering Specialist on the Systems team collaborates with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to integrate material handling systems for complex applications using the latest technologies. This role involves understanding customer goals, developing engineered solutions, and supporting large-scale material handling integrations that may include Controls, Software, Robotics, and Consulting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the commissioning and testing of projects with direction from the primary commissioning engineer.
- Lead commissioning and testing projects with oversight from other experienced commissioning engineers/leads.
- Assist in creating/executing FRT with oversight and guidance from experienced team members.
- Progressively develop commissioning skillset.
- Coordinate closely with the Project Manager.
- Develop and maintain commissioning checkout lists and operational test plans specific to each project.
- Install, start-up, and troubleshoot equipment not manufactured by Toyota Automated Logistics, ensuring its quality and operation reflect positively on the company and project success.
- Closely monitor project team dynamics, anticipate problems, and seek help early.
- Aid the Project team in training the customer-supplied System Expert.
- Modify and debug PLCs and HMIs per customer and Bastian Solutions' specifications with a focus on throughput optimization.
- Debug and test new implementation techniques or equipment to maintain industry leadership.
- Develop and implement standard practices for quality improvement and cost reduction.
- Attend training and become certified in applicable technologies or programs.
- Communicate strategic information regarding suppliers, customers, and competition.
- Support the Systems Checklist for systems projects.
- Identify new controls, software, or hardware techniques or equipment to maintain industry leadership.
- Complete all administrative tasks and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Track time spent by project and enter into time tracking software.
- Take charge of decisions and conflicts within the project and resolve them quickly at the lowest level.
- Improve processes with written templates, spreadsheet tools, and lessons learned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the USA long-term without sponsorship.
- Employees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents.

- Extremely computer literate with MS Office products
