About the Role
Join the Automation Solutions team and contribute to the creation, enhancement, and support of solutions that deliver functional value to our business partners. As an Enterprise Solutions Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows with Power Automate
- Create and support custom applications with Power Apps
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and secure solutions
- Provide ongoing support for production processes, identifying fixes or workarounds for issues
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices
- Contribute to establishing governance for the Automated Solutions team
- Build relationships with colleagues to foster peer-to-peer and team cooperation
- Stay updated on Power Platform tool advancements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in collaborations to recommend and implement improvements to existing solutions
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing solutions with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Post-secondary education in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Good understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience with Dataverse, connectors, and data integration
- Experience with database systems (e.g., DB2) and data access methods (e.g., SQL, ETL, API)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of work to maximize quality and avoid rework
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices (an asset)
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications
- Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Logic Apps, UI flows)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, PowerShell, VBA)
- Experience with best practices for governance and security in Power Platform
- Knowledge of cloud environments like Azure
- A strong desire to learn and apply new technologies within the Power Platform ecosystem
- The ability to contribute to the success of the Automated Solutions team through influence, collaboration, and accountability
- A passion for improving business processes through automation and innovation
- Bilingualism is an asset (proficient in French and English), but required only for Quebec
- Reliability Status and Security Clearance - Only candidates who have received a job offer can undergo these checks. This is a personal security clearance required as a condition of employment. It must be obtained before an employee can access Protected B level information, assets, or workplaces, as indicated on the Government of Canada website. Fees associated with these checks will be covered by Canada Life.
