About the Role
Crusoe is hiring a Social Media Manager to own our organic social presence end-to-end. This role involves shooting and editing short-form video, translating technical announcements into engaging content for a technical audience, and building a following among ML engineers, infrastructure leads, and AI researchers. It's a hands-on position for a creator-first individual comfortable with AI/infrastructure concepts and managing an editorial calendar.
Responsibilities
- Own Crusoe's social channels (X/Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms) end-to-end: strategy, content calendar, publishing, and performance reporting.
- Shoot and edit short-form video yourself (on-site at data centers, at industry events, and in the office).
- Launch Crusoe's TikTok from scratch and create native platform-specific vertical content for YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels.
- Turn technical source material (product launches, research/benchmark results, executive commentary, customer stories) into social-native content that is accurate and engaging for a technical audience.
- Build and maintain relationships with AI/infrastructure creators, researchers, and technical journalists to expand organic reach.
- Build social-native funnels that go beyond awareness, using automation to move engaged followers through capture, nurture, and convert logic.
- Source, brief, and manage a roster of contractors, freelance creators, and influencers to extend content and campaign output.
- Build a user-generated content (UGC) pipeline.
- Monitor real-time AI/infrastructure conversation and react quickly when Crusoe has something relevant to add.
- Partner with product, engineering, and exec stakeholders to source technical content and keep messaging accurate.
- Be a fast, reliable partner to teams outside marketing who lean on social for their own moments.
- Track engagement, reach, share of voice (SOV), and follower growth against goals; report on what's working and adjust.
- Represent Crusoe's brand voice: technical, credible, confident, humble, optimistic.
Requirements
- 4+ years managing social media for a technical, developer-facing, or B2B tech brand.
- AI/ML/infrastructure/cloud experience strongly preferred.
- A portfolio of short-form video you've shot and edited yourself.
- Genuine fluency with AI/ML and infrastructure concepts.
- Strong writing skills, capable of writing content that resonates with technical leaders and engineers.
- Experience running a multi-channel editorial calendar and reporting on performance.
- Comfortable working independently, moving fast, and reacting to news in real time.
- Intense operational rigor: strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects, requests, and posts at once.
