About the Role
This is a high-ownership engineering role at an early-stage healthtech startup building AI-powered payer compliance tools for surgical and procedural specialties. You'll translate complex healthcare workflows into clean, reliable technical integrations, directly shaping how provider practices operate.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain integrations with provider practices and insurance systems using APIs, scrapers, and RPA.
- Join client discovery sessions to map workflows and convert them into technical requirements.
- Ship custom integrations quickly and iterate based on client feedback.
- Contribute to the core product when integration work is not the bottleneck.
- Develop deep working knowledge of the US provider and payer landscape.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of full-stack engineering experience building and shipping production features.
- Startup background with a track record of owning features or products end-to-end.
- Solid experience integrating with third-party APIs.
- Proficiency in Python and FastAPI (or equivalent backend frameworks) and React with TypeScript (or equivalent frontend).
- Active, proven use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar, with shipped production work.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical clients.
- Comfortable attending in-person team and client meetings, with occasional travel as needed.
- Experience building web scrapers or RPA solutions is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with AWS or GCP infrastructure is a strong plus.
- Prior work in US healthcare or with provider/payer systems is a strong plus.
- Production LLM application development is a strong plus.
