About the Role

Smith is the leading independent electronic components distributor in the world. We are seeking a talented individual to partner with hiring managers, develop sourcing strategies, identify and attract talent, and select candidates. This role requires headhunting top-tier talent and ensuring a frictionless candidate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage hiring needs by partnering with hiring managers.
  • Develop sourcing strategies and recruitment ideas.
  • Identify and attract talent.
  • Select candidates.
  • Build active candidate pipelines using cold calls, emails, networking, and job boards.
  • Evaluate candidates based on communication skills, drive, and past sales performance.
  • Ensure a frictionless candidate experience through a maximum of three interviews.
  • Deliver a fast, transparent, and candidate-centric experience from outreach to onboarding.
  • Send prompt acknowledgement and status updates to candidates at key milestones.
  • Serve as a talent advisor, providing market intelligence, candidate assessment, and closing ability.
  • Ensure Workday compliance is met.
  • Maintain current knowledge of recruitment laws, regulations, and trends.
  • Support college recruitment by developing and maintaining relationships with community organizations, colleges, universities, alumni organizations, industry organizations, and employment agencies.
  • Attend career fairs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recruiting / talent acquisition experience.
  • Sales recruiting experience is a must.
  • Experience with multi-site locations is a plus.
  • Very apt on Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software.
  • Strong internet sourcing skills.
  • Experience with Workday Recruiting.
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment with limited resources.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Can work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Creative in the recruiting process.
