About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on leadership and execution for project goals and objectives.
  • Supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure projects remain within scope, on budget, and on schedule.
  • Lead and provide hands-on project management and contract administration for IT, Security, AV, and Integration systems.
  • Manage IT, Security, AV, and Integration systems aspects of the Phase 1D Research and Forensic Projects.
  • Independently lead and execute project work streams and track project documents.
  • Lead engagement and coordination of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate team and stakeholder meetings.
  • Develop work plans, accountabilities, timelines, requirements, communication plans, and change management plans.
  • Monitor and report on all aspects of projects according to EPMO and Redevelopment PMO processes.
  • Perform project administrative tasks.
  • Support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage stakeholders to ensure agreement on scope, approach, deliverables, and budget.
  • Manage assigned project resources, including task assignment, performance targets, and performance management.
  • Update and maintain project databases on Kahua, MS SharePoint, and other platforms.
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager IT on all required areas for project success.
  • Utilize the CAMH project management methodology to drive project standards, identify risks and issues, and adhere to change processes.
  • Provide leadership and facilitate meaningful engagement of all stakeholders, including managing conflicting priorities.
  • Build effective and collaborative relationships with various project teams, portfolios, stakeholder groups, and leadership teams.
  • Manage assigned project management resources.
  • Develop and track project and operational budgets.
  • Provide technical oversight for IT, Security, AV, and Integration systems.
  • Manage the coordination of contract administration for assigned construction projects.
  • Track, document, and be accountable for responses to RFIs and hospital submittals using the e-Builder platform.
  • Coordinate and issue Site Instructions.
  • Coordinate and assist with change/variation management.
  • Conduct site reviews/inspections and prepare associated reports, including a project issues log.
  • Review and assess progress against construction schedules and compliance with contractual documents.
  • Develop and deliver reports, communications, and presentations.
  • Review design and construction documents, including drawings and technical specifications.
  • Develop project approach/strategy and plans with the leadership team.
  • Gain knowledge of CAMH’s ICT systems to inform the role for the Phase 1D projects.
  • Identify project objectives, milestones, and deliverables and work with project teams to achieve them.
  • Establish priorities, coordinate, and support project team members and stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Identify project issues and work with the team to track and resolve them.
  • Provide project reporting internally and to external project funders.
  • Facilitate inter-professional working group sessions and/or steering committees.
  • Review processes to ensure appropriate internal controls.
  • Develop and deliver project presentations for various stakeholders, including executive audiences.
  • Conduct benefits realization/evaluation and lessons learned activities.
  • Synthesize literature and write reports, including business cases and briefing notes.
  • Develop and implement project-related communications with input from key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other CAMH project teams as necessary.
  • Directly and/or indirectly supervise project team members.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to project team members and others.
  • Manage project and operational budgets as required.

Requirements

  • University degree (ideally in engineering, computer science, business or related field; graduate education preferred, preferably in a discipline relevant field, e.g., Information Technology), or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated progressive and relevant experience in project management with increasing complexity and scope.
  • Strong experience in working in Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), e.g., networking, Wi-Fi, IT Security, Real-time Location System (RTLS), Audio Visual systems, Internet of Things (IOT), Building Automation System (BAS).
  • Experience working with diverse clients and stakeholders.
  • Change management skills and experience are required.
  • Strong organization and planning skills required.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills are required.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt and manage changing priorities is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Project is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.

Experience Level

Salary/Compensations

  • Competitive and based on experience, with a hiring range of $102,735.96 – $128,419.95 per year.
  • Employees in this role may progress within the full pay range of $102,735.96 – $154,103.94 per year.

  • The Phase 1D Redevelopment consists of two projects: Phase 1D Forensic and Phase 1D Research.
  • The Phase 1D Forensic project focuses on the construction of the Forensic building, the Waverley House Secure Care & Recovery Building.
  • The Phase 1D Research project will deliver The Temerty Discovery Centre, a state-of-the-art facility.
  • Construction is expected to be completed in 2027 for the Research building and 2029 for the Forensic building.
