About the Role
Join our Buildings Government Services team as an Electrical Designer, working under close guidance on project tasks and assisting in the engineering of electrical systems. You will verify compliance with codes and standards, perform calculations, and utilize Revit and AutoCAD for design.
Responsibilities
- Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and other materials.
- Create electrical design documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Perform engineering calculations for building electrical system components.
- Coordinate with other disciplines under the direction of a senior engineer/designer.
- Perform field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer.
- Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
- Collect data and gather information to support design decisions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas.
- Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting.
- Ability to engage in creative and critical thought.
- Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program, and similar material.
- Ability to take direction, follow process, and accept feedback.
- Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD is preferred but not required.
- Experience with AGI 32, Visual Lighting Software, SKM, Newforma is preferred but not required.
