- Own the full laptop lifecycle (procurement through disposal) and the software/SaaS license register, tracking entitlements, flagging waste, and preparing usage data for renewals
- Maintain firewall/VPN, switching, and wireless infrastructure, manage physical access systems, and own DNS/domain and hosting coordination
- Operate endpoint protection/MDR alongside the security vendor, manage email security and phishing awareness, enforce patching/compliance/encryption/backup standards, and support access reviews and privileged credential management
- Contribute to security and privacy compliance work, including Canadian privacy obligations
- Act as primary contact for the MSP and specialist vendors, holding them to SLAs and clarifying scope boundaries
- Evaluate and govern AI tools (e.g., Claude) in the IT environment, build automations that cut manual effort, and help set safe-use guardrails
Requirements
- 3–7 years in IT systems administration, IT support, or infrastructure roles, with demonstrated progression in scope

- Practical exposure to Azure cloud services and cloud-hosted infrastructure
- Solid networking fundamentals: DHCP, DNS, VLANs, firewall administration, Wi-Fi troubleshooting
