About the Role
Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is seeking a Commissionaire to join their growing team. This role is crucial for maintaining security and providing essential services to clients, with a strong emphasis on meaningful employment for veterans.
Responsibilities
- Monitor intrusion alarm systems for Military Weapon Vault in the London AOR
- Maintain access lists for Weapon Vault
- Control key access for authorized users
- Act as Canadian Forces Operator for Wolseley Barracks AOR system
- Maintain direct communication with London Fire Department for fire alarms and responses
- Interact with civilian police forces in SW Ontario as required
- Perform open and close procedures for building #50
- Maintain daily log of incidents
- Conduct checks on Weapon Vault
- Maintain current training and knowledge on systems at the barracks
- Provide information and direction, and transfer calls as needed
- Review and act upon all memos
- Perform caretaker duties and maintain staff keys
- Sign keys in and out per CFRIS policies and procedures
- Utilize military account information with respect and professionalism
Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
- Ability to obtain Reliability Security Clearance
- Minimum 5 Years of Residency in Canada
- Ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service
- Highly reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask
- Professionalism in dress, deportment, and performance
