About the Role
Responsible for leading a team that develops and implements creative, engaging, and high-quality training for employees across all levels and locations, adhering to compliance standards. This role requires strategic thinking, hands-on implementation, and a train-the-trainer mentality.
Responsibilities
- Supervises, coaches, and develops the Staff Training and Development Team.
- Ensures accurate scheduling, attendance, and documentation of training in compliance with mandates.
- Provides agency support for resolving OPWDD Administrative Memos to meet training requirements.
- Assists in developing, updating, and delivering training programs and offering outside training opportunities.
- Collaborates with Operations Management to develop and deliver trainings for hard and soft skills.
- Assists Sr. Leadership Team in developing measurable department goals.
- Coordinates and provides feedback on the agency's succession planning processes.
- Acts as a resource, coach, and mentor for leaders, managers, and supervisors in writing and implementing IDPs and PIPs.
- Facilitates leadership work teams for planning and implementation of Leadership Development Institutes.
- Serves as System Administrator of HRIS for Sage Training Module.
Requirements
- Associates degree in a related field (Human Services, Human Resources, or Training and Employee Development) required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three years of progressive administrative and supervisory experience required.
- Working knowledge of OPWDD regulations preferred.
- Valid NYS driver's license that meets agency standards.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Must be able to travel for agency business.
