About the Role
To provide maintenance services to various Agency homes and locations, ensuring a safe environment for all residents and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide skills to maintain building components including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, mobility equipment, fire and security systems.
- Complete all maintenance work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance work orders as assigned.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of documentation, purchase requisitions, and work orders.
- Monitor the agency for unsafe conditions and correct or report them immediately.
- Complete all in-house projects efficiently.
- Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all department/agency policies and procedures.
- Provide person-centered individual attention to all consumers.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in building maintenance.
- 1 year of trade experience preferred (e.g., plumbing, electrical).
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic computer usage skills.
- CPR certification required.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Valid, clean NYS Driver's License.
