About the Role

Join AWIN, a premier network of 23 luxury automobile dealerships and 3 collision centers in the Greater Toronto Area. Our Volkswagen Downtown Toronto dealership is seeking a Sales and Leasing Consultant to sell and lease new or pre-owned vehicles, meet sales targets, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture customer relationships for vehicle sales.
  • Handle incoming sales traffic via phone, internet, and in-person.
  • Qualify all prospects.
  • Arrange trade-in appraisals.
  • Liaise between prospects and sales management during negotiations.
  • Turn over sales customers to the finance office.
  • Arrange vehicle deliveries.
  • Actively prospect new customers on an ongoing basis.
  • Follow up with past deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Research and study product changes.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings.
  • Review monthly performance against objectives.
  • Familiarize yourself with manufacturer sales, lease, and finance programs.
  • Make contact calls to existing clients for annual and lease maturity.
  • Keep apprised of competitive products.
  • Review historical performance with management to set annual sales objectives.
  • Participate in off-site marketing and advertising initiatives.
  • Assist in showroom display arrangements.
  • Participate in off-site product and skills training programs.
  • Close sales by overcoming objections, negotiating prices, completing contracts, explaining provisions, warranties, services, and financing, and collecting payments.
  • Stay informed of all applicable laws governing retail auto sales.
  • Escort customers to the customer lounge, Parts Counter, and introduce them to the Service Department during the delivery process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence.
  • Clear Driver’s Abstract.
  • Valid OMVIC registration.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Ability to sell the minimum quota according to dealership objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
