About the Role
Join the E3 team to work on critical energy issues, shaping energy and climate policy, participating in regulatory proceedings, advising executives, and informing investment decisions. You will be challenged and inspired by working with top minds in the electricity industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering customer work through modeling, developing presentations, writing reports, and preparing papers.
- Conduct independent research using ingenuity and curiosity to make reasonable assumptions and produce solutions, sometimes with incomplete information.
- Develop expertise in at least one Practice Area topic and apply E3 tools to client questions.
- Complete complex analytical tasks with senior direction.
- Translate research results, reports, and insights into clear visual representations.
- Assist project leads in creating or editing client-ready spreadsheets and developing tools for stakeholder products.
- Make simple modifications to existing tools and models.
- Proactively track actual performance against the established plan and communicate with the Director or Manager.
- Capture project learnings and repeatable products for future use according to knowledge management processes.
- Assist with internal initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher with a strong academic record in engineering, economics, computer science, public policy, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of prior experience in energy and climate change issues or demonstrated academic project work.
- Hands-on experience, academic project work, or knowledge base related to Energy Planning and Policy, Transmission, Pricing and Risk, and/or Market Advisory and Valuation.
- Collaborative work style, assisting team members to achieve their best work.
- High fluency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Desire to work in a dynamic office environment with other staff.
