About the Role
Join the E3 team to work on critical energy issues, shaping energy and climate policy, participating in regulatory proceedings, advising executives, and informing investment decisions. You will be challenged and inspired by working with top minds in the electricity industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering customer work through modeling, developing presentations, writing reports and papers, and fulfilling additional customer requests.
- Conduct research using ingenuity and curiosity to make reasonable assumptions and produce solutions, even with incomplete information, including country-level energy market research, standards document analysis, and complex regulatory proceeding research.
- Translate research results, reports, and insights into clear visual representations.
- Aid project heads in creating or editing client-ready spreadsheets and developing tools for stakeholder products.
- Perform simple modifications to existing tools and models.
- Proactively track personal work performance against established plans, maintaining ongoing communication with the Director or Manager.
- Capture project learnings and repeatable products/work samples for future use according to knowledge management processes.
- Assist with internal initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher with a strong academic record in engineering, economics, computer science, public policy, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of prior experience in energy and climate change issues or demonstrated academic related project work.
- Hands-on experience, academic project work, or knowledge base related to Energy Planning and Policy, Transmission, Pricing and Risk, and/or Market Advisory and Valuation.
- Ability to work collaboratively and support team members, recognizing diverse experiences.
- High fluency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Desire to work in a dynamic office environment with other staff.
