About the Role
The Guidehouse Internship Program offers interns a meaningful consulting experience by staffing them on real-world projects, showcasing the company culture, and providing them with a Buddy for guidance. The program spans 10 weeks in the Summer of 2027, featuring learning and development sessions, performance management, networking events, and opportunities to work on active client projects within the State and Local Government practice. This practice focuses on delivering impactful solutions to clients' complex business and technology challenges in areas such as economic development, sustainability, and program management.
Responsibilities
- Work with teams and provide real-time deliverables in support of clients.
- Participate in Learning & Development Sessions (both E-learning & Instructor-Led).
- Engage in performance management, including developing goals and holding Mid-Point Check-in and Final Evaluation.
- Attend Networking & Social Activities and Events.
- Participate in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern Event.
- Attend Intern Speaker Series.
- Be staffed on active Guidehouse projects.
Requirements
- Must still be enrolled in an accredited graduate or undergraduate degree program.
- Must graduate between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Ability to accommodate an expected Summer 2027 start date.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the country.
- No current or future sponsorship is available for this position or related conversion offers.
Skills
- Demonstrates knowledge in and passion for improving state and local government through academic courses and project work.
- Demonstrates proven success and thorough skills to define and lead client-work including conducting baseline assessments, building a future state vision, developing implementation plans, managing multiple stakeholders, and communicating with varying audiences.
- Demonstrates proven success and thorough knowledge of key facets of state and local government, including sustainability, urban planning, education, housing, transportation, justice, and/or administration.
- Demonstrates proven success and thorough knowledge of core management consulting skills such as project management, financial modeling, operational modeling, and stakeholder management.
