About the Role
As an Employee Benefits Consultant, you will serve as the primary advisor for a portfolio of clients, helping employers design, manage, and optimize their employee benefits programs. This role blends relationship management, benefits expertise, financial analysis, and problem-solving, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both client success and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ongoing client satisfaction, ensuring clients receive timely and effective solutions.
- Accountable to retain clients, implementing strategies to maintain high client retention rates.
- Focus on growing current clients and absorbing new clients into the book with exceptional service.
- Serve as the main strategic point of contact, addressing client needs and concerns.
- Take charge of accounts within the book of business, making strategic decisions to optimize benefits.
- Identify and drive opportunities for client expansion, exploring new benefit options.
- Responsible for running a book of $500k-5 million dollars of annual revenue.
- Collaborate with the Account Manager Team on annual execution of core work.
- Coordinate and lead all aspects of the completion of key projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Managing Consultant and Producer to ensure the success of each account.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new strategies, and cutting-edge solutions.
- Provide thought leadership and innovative solutions to clients.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in employee benefits or a related field.
- Strong understanding of benefits administration, industry trends, and carrier products and services.
- Proven track record to manage client relationships and anticipate client needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Passion for developing and building strength and capabilities in a team.
