About the Role
GXO is recruiting for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the design, development, validation, and production of advanced data science and machine learning solutions that improve decision-making across GXO’s global network.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and validation of advanced statistical, machine learning, and optimization models to solve complex business and operational problems across GXO products and workflows.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, deployment leads, and business stakeholders to frame use cases, define success metrics, identify required data sources, and prioritize data science solutions.
- Communicate analytical insights, model trade-offs, uncertainty, and recommended actions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, helping teams make better operational and strategic decisions.
- Raise data science standards across the team through methodological review, documentation, mentoring, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a data science, machine learning & advanced analytics.
- Experience taking analytical or machine learning solutions from exploration through deployment and ongoing performance management.
- Strong Python and SQL skills, including experience building maintainable data science workflows, feature engineering pipelines, experimentation frameworks, and model evaluation code for production settings.
- Working knowledge of GCP-based data and ML environments, preferably including BigQuery, Vertex AI, and cloud workflows that support deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
