About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, solution-oriented, and data-driven retention marketer to join the Core Marketplace retention team. This role focuses on launching and iterating on CRM programs to drive growth and retention for DoorDash's core business. The ideal candidate can think big picture about the customer lifecycle and execute campaigns, build consensus with cross-functional teams, and make data-informed decisions. You will own end-to-end campaign execution, including channel strategy, audience planning, QA, launch, optimization, and reporting, ensuring strong engagement and business results. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining campaigns and workflow strategy for core lifecycle efforts, analyzing initiative impact on key business metrics, creative ideation and optimization, and consulting on various customer workstreams. You will collaborate with strategy & operations, brand, product marketing, analytics, and the Retention team to engage, retain, and resurrect customers. You will report to the Manager of Lifecycle on USMP within the Consumer Lifecycle Marketing team, Growth Marketing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Create CRM campaign strategy across the customer lifecycle for both automations and ad hoc communications
  • Build, QA, launch, and optimize retention marketing campaigns across email, push notifications, in-app messaging, and other channels using first party platforms
  • Work closely with the Integrated Marketing function to develop campaign strategy briefs based on business needs and audience behavior, determining the best channel mix, audience targeting, and number of touchpoints per program
  • Establish a strong working relationship with cross functional stakeholders in our Creative Studio, Promo Strategy, Product, Analytics, and Strategy teams
  • Manage CRM reporting dashboards, monitor trends, and make recommendations based on results
  • Stay current on marketing best practices in email, push and SMS and share learnings and insights regularly with the broader marketing team

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in CRM or email marketing
  • Deep familiarity with CRM technology including ESPs/marketing automation platforms
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Strong writer and communicator
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, HTML and data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Periscope)
  • Knowledge of email industry best practices including contact strategies, targeting and segmentation, A/B testing, and analytics
  • Extremely organized, dependable, self-motivated & ability to multi-task
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
