About the Role
This entry-level, front-office role focuses on trading physical power in the spot market and optimizing the Company’s generation fleet. You will gain exposure to major North American power markets and develop trading skills with a clear promotion track.
Responsibilities
- Trade virtuals and physical power in the day-ahead and real-time markets across the continental US
- Optimize the Company’s generation portfolio in real time, including hydro, pumped storage, battery storage (BESS), wind, and solar assets
- Negotiate and execute bilateral transactions with counterparties, balance positions across the portfolio, manage curtailments, and re-supply contracts
- Communicate regularly with the regional trading teams on real-time issues
- Maintain the trade capture system (record, enter, and verify transactions)
