About the Role
KidsCare Home Health is seeking Occupational Therapy Assistants to provide therapy services to children with special needs in their homes. The company emphasizes work-life balance, ethical practices, and internal growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide medically prescribed occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist for pediatric patients in a home health setting.
- Direct patients and caregivers in tasks to restore, reinforce, and/or enhance performance.
- Provide clinical treatment to patients as directed by the OT supervisor.
- Maintain an adequate caseload with appropriate productivity.
- Coordinate patient care with supervisor, office staff, and other disciplines.
- Communicate patient progress, problems, and home programs to the OT supervisor.
- Maintain appropriate and timely documentation.
- Proactively communicate with administrative office staff for assistance.
- Maintain supplies and equipment.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve company and departmental goals.
- Actively participate in professional organizations and activities.
- Serve as backup service provider for other caseloads as needed.
- Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associates Degree as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred.
- Current state-issued professional license.
- Valid state driver's license.
- CPR certified.
- Ability to read and write simple correspondence with effective public speaking in small groups.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret instructions and solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, record keeping, and routine database activity.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
