About the Role

This role involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment for events, ensuring flawless execution and exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for technical setup, problem-solving, and maintaining positive client relationships while adhering to safety and company procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping, and repairing equipment prior to an event.
  • Ensure accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly.
  • Comply with all company security and safety measures.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Report all health and safety issues to the HSE Manager or Project Manager onsite.
  • Work as part of a team on larger scale projects.
  • Deliver world-class service, striving to exceed customer expectations.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication.
  • Meet with guests on site to ensure needs are met and equipment setup is working properly.
  • Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day.
  • Understand and foster the hotel/venue/client relationship.
  • Demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve with equipment and software issues.
  • Handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Understand company processes, follow procedures, and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately.
  • Use equipment sheets to determine equipment scheduled for setup and strike.
  • Interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment.
  • Increase revenue by utilizing floor up-selling techniques.
  • Work with clients to finalize invoices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GCSE equivalent required.
  • 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
  • 1 year of audio visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred.
