About the Role
Lead product marketing for Application Performance Monitoring (APM), Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM), and Developer Tools. Define product strategy, go-to-market plans, and growth initiatives for these fast-growing areas, contributing to category definition.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Product Marketing organizations for APM, DEM, and Developer Tools.
- Coach people managers and build high-performing teams.
- Own portfolio-level product marketing strategy using market, customer, competitive, funnel, and financial insights.
- Identify growth levers, prioritize investments, and establish clear strategies to win.
- Partner with C-level executives and senior leaders to shape product narratives and influence go-to-market priorities.
- Align product positioning with Datadog’s broader platform strategy.
- Set go-to-market direction for each product line, determining the right mix of marketing tactics.
- Build a deep understanding of technical products, customers, and markets.
- Translate complex concepts into differentiated narratives and business value.
- Establish a culture of operational excellence, talent development, and accountability.
- Oversee hiring, leadership development, organizational planning, prioritization, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experienced Product Marketing leader with significant experience leading complex technical product portfolios.
- Operate at a senior leadership level.
- Proven second-line leader with 5+ years of leadership experience.
- Meaningful experience managing and developing people managers.
- Experience building organizations and hiring exceptional talent.
- Business-oriented leader understanding growth levers, financial performance, and full-funnel marketing.
- Utilize quantitative and qualitative data for portfolio-level decisions.
- Deeply experienced in go-to-market strategy.
- Select appropriate positioning, launch, campaign, enablement, customer, and demand-generation approaches.
- Technically credible with a strong command of infrastructure, application, developer, or adjacent technologies.
- Influential executive communicator.
- Navigate ambiguity, align senior stakeholders, and challenge constructively.
- Make clear tradeoffs and establish trusted partnerships.
