About the Role

As Growth Manager, you will own the paid acquisition engine end-to-end, managing the budget, channels, creative testing, and performance metrics. This role is crucial for Melotech's rapid scaling, with a focus on maximizing return on ad spend across a diverse portfolio of releases and campaigns. You will work directly with founders, product, and data teams to drive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end paid acquisition, including budget, channels, creative testing, and performance.
  • Decide budget allocation across a portfolio of releases and campaigns.
  • Consolidate or split dozens of campaigns, hundreds of ad sets, and thousands of creatives across Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat.
  • Separate testing from scaling and segment by geography, age, and placement.
  • Manage campaign operations, including budgets, pacing, and targets.
  • Build a system for a continuous flow of new creatives weekly, with clear rules for performance and briefs based on data.
  • Direct editors, video producers, UGC creators, and agencies to meet volume and quality needs.
  • Allocate budget across multiple releases and campaigns based on data, weighing upside against risk.
  • Understand and utilize key metrics (e.g., CPM vs. CPC) to identify performance shifts.
  • Build reports, scripts, and automations using ad platform APIs and AI tools.

Requirements

  • Hands-on paid operator experience, thinking like a trader, or a growth generalist with buying experience.
  • Experience running real budgets directly, not through a team or agency.
  • 2 to 7 years of hands-on paid buying experience, ideally in a startup or small team.
  • Owned Meta, TikTok, or Snapchat channels end-to-end, ideally more than one.
  • Experience running accounts at high volume with structured ad sets and creatives.
  • Experience with creative testing at scale, including schedules, kill rules, and directing creative partners.
  • Ability to notice when a hook or format is burning out.
  • Comfortable allocating budget across many bets with thin margins and making structured decisions under uncertainty.
  • Experience with game portfolios, app portfolios, e-commerce with many products, or similar is a plus.
  • Experience running holdout or lift tests.
  • Judges spend by payback, not cost per click.
  • Proficiency in SQL or Python.
  • Experience using ad platform APIs.
  • Ability to build own reporting and automations.
  • A data science background is a plus.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and performance-oriented environment.
  • Stays close to current paid social trends.
  • Interest in music, media, gaming, or social is a plus.
